Dance Year 2010-2011

Please look for registration information in the mail for our dance season 2010-2011 around the first of July. We are accepting new students and if you have referred a dancer, you will receive $30 credit towards your account. You will receive this credit once the new student as paid their registration and first months tuition. We are so excited about this next year. We have lots of fun events planned for this upcoming season. If you fill out and return your registration for 2010-2011 by the recital, you will recieve $10 off your registration fee.

Technique & Zumba Classes

We will be holding a technique class for older girls (12 and older) every Thursday night from 7-8. These are mandatory for our "primo" class. (Extenuating circumstances understood). These classses are not limited to just Dolce Dancers, but all dancers from other studios, ect. The cost of this class is $10 per class. You can pay ahead or just pay the night of the class. This is a great way for any dancer to keep up with their technique during summer.

We will be also holding Zumba classes for adults and dancers 12 and older on Thursday nights from 6-7pm. The cost of this class is $10 per class as well. This class is a great way to stay in shape and would be fun for a mom and me class!

Both of these classes will begin June 17th and continue every Thursday night throughout the summer.

Summer Clinic

We will be holding summer clinic classes this summer. Dates will be announced later. Please look for emails regarding this. These classes are recommended for dancers to kep up their technique through the summer. The classes will be a variety of different styles of dance with many different teachers.

Company Dance Try outs

We will be having dance try outs on Monday June 7th from 10:00-12:00 for our older dancers 12 years and older. Dance try outs for our younger dancers ages 6-11 will be held Tuesday, June 8th from 10:00-12:00. The cost is $ 7 per dancer for try outs. (Other studios charge 20) These tryouts are MANDATORY for any dancer that is interested in participating in our company classes for the dance season 2010-2011.

Competitions

We would like to congratulate our company members and teachers for their award winning performances these last few weeks at competitions. Our Panache Company won 1st and 2nd overall and their dance and Primo won "BEST CHOREOGRAPHY". We truly have the best teachers and dancers. Congratulations dancers and teachers. You have worked hard and it paid off!!!

Dance Recital

The dance recital will be held SATURDAY, JUNE 5th at 6:00 pm. Dancers need to be at the school by 5:00 pm ready to go in hair and makeup done. Once your dancer is done performing you are welcome to pick them up from the "class mom" and join you for the rest of the show. ALL dancers need to return backstage 3 numbers prior to the end for the finale. I will need 1-2 Mom's per class (COMBO 1,2,3 classes and mini company) to help with the dancers to and from the stage and also helping gather the dancers at the end of the show for the finale.

Dance Rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal will be held Friday, June 4th from 4-8 pm at SUMMIT ACADEMY Jr. HIGH SCHOOL. The address is: 1285 East 12300 South. We need all dancers to be at the school no later than 4:00 ready to go in their costumes with make up and hair ready. Please be sure your dancers have the correct shoes for their dances. If you are unsure, check with their teacher. All dancers need to stay at the school for the entire time so that we can practice and run through the finale. Dancers are welcome to bring snacks but must eat them outside. Pictures may be taken during dress rehearsal. IF ACCOUNTS ARE NOT PAID IN FULL BY THE RECITAL YOUR DANCER WILL NOT PERFORM.
